May the flowers remind us
why the rain was so necessary
why the clouds obscured the sky
why the sun refused to shine
May our families tell us
how to be happy
how to be kind
how to lead the blind
The sun will stop shining
The flowers will refuse to bloom
and bitter silence will rule the world
So we have to continue to smile
to laugh
to be happy
for it might have to end next week
